PETA makes vegan Video Game?!

Well, it seems that the media's favorite whipping boy, PETA, has created an animal friendly response to the Team Meat video game, Super Meat Boy. In their haste to squash anything that might even imply an animal was once upon a time treated poorly, they have created Super Tofu Boy.

In Super Tofu Boy, Bandage Girl dumps the "vengeful, bloody cube of rotting animal flesh" and Tofu Boy must rescue her back from aforementioned meat cube after she is kidnapped. The PETA parody takes players through witty maps such as "the Slaughterhouse", "McCruelty", and "the Bacon Factory".

It should be no surprise that PETA missed the humor in Super Meat Boy and could only assume the worst. I guess no one told them that Meat Boy is just a poor kid with no skin, huh?

According to the crew over at Team Meat, they are in no way insulted or put out by this. As a matter of fact they are thrilled!

"Peta is 1000 times more well known then Super Meat Boy and the fact that they went out of their way to make a parody like this is beyond flattering and amazingly helpful." They have even added the little Tofu cube that could to their own game as a nod to PETA to say thanks for the free advertisement.
